Wow, these 6 months has flown by. I know I say that every month, but it's true. It doesn't feel like we have a newborn anymore. We have a full-grown baby (haha). Micah has changed so much in this one month, it's crazy. I'm again late on this post. December was so busy with traveling multiple times and many other activities. The pics are kinda random but all documenting Micah's 6th month!
At his 6 month appointment, he weighted 15lbs. 1oz. (14%) and was 25.5" tall (24%) and his head size is in the 87th percentile. He got some more vaccines this time and was diagnosed with Eczema, but the medicine the Dr. prescribed has already made a huge difference.
Micah cut his first two teeth December 3rd. We were shocked. One day they weren't there and the next they were. So crazy. I can't really get a good picture of them because he's always rubbing his tongue over them, which is so cute!
He has really started to sit up almost completely on his own. He can hold himself up without much help but still not good enough for me to walk away. Plus, he doesn't know how not to face plant when he falls. Even with help, he is loving sitting up and playing with his new Christmas toys.
Micah also learned to roll over from his back to his tummy. This is such an accomplishment! Now he's rolling all over the room and even all around in his bed. He likes when he rolls over to his tummy but he gets tired and has to lay face down on the floor for a rest sometimes. It's so cute!
Finally, Micah experienced his first Christmas, as you know, this month. We had such a good time with family and everyone showered Micah with lots of fun toys and cute clothes. He is a loved little boy and for that we are so thankful! But all that love tuckered him out!
It seems like Micah is going to be a very busy little boy once he can become mobile. He doesn't really snuggle, won't let you rock him to sleep and is constantly moving around when you're holding him. It sometimes feels like he's trying to get away from us. I have a feeling once he learns to crawl, I'll never ever sit down again. So. . . take your time little man!!!
I have a lot more pictures so I'm just going to post them all below. Enjoy!

Blue Door Decor
It's been a long time coming but I have finally launched my Etsy store with a few items. I have a few more wreaths I need to post but I decided to go ahead with a 'soft launch' of the items I'm ready to list.
Please go check it out and let me know what you think. Feel free to pass this along to any friends or family who would be interested. Stay tuned for a few more items!
xoxo - Stef

Random Thoughts on Friday
As soon as I can get a free night, I'm going to post about my sisters bridal shower and show you all the wonderful pics! But for today, I'm really busy so I just wanted to leave you with a few of my recent random thoughts, mostly occurring while in the shower. (sorry, TMI)
1. It's too cold for Texas. I like Texas because it's not a cold place. . . I don't like this weather. But I seem to remember a post or two about how hot it is in Texas, hmmm. . . maybe I just don't like the outdoors.
2. So, what's up with the zodiac signs changing? And why should I care? Do you care? Someone brought up a good point though, what about all those peeps who had their signs tattooed on their body, I would be pissed!
3. How in the heck are you supposed to know what to buy for your baby? I am overwhelmed by the thought of which stroller and car seat to buy. Can't I just decorate the room instead of worrying about the safety, cost, efficiency of baby items? Is there a list of the best items to buy that I can trust and that won't require me to spend hours researching all over the web?
4. Is it bad that I haven't taken down my Christmas decorations yet? . . . and I may not take them down this weekend either. Just sayin'
5. Why do people get in the HOV lane and drive slower than the cars outside of the HOV lane? WHY! I do not understand this. Granted not everyone wants to drive 20 miles over the speed limit like me, but at least drive the speed limit! AND - if you see 45 cars lined up behind you, you should move over or speed up. Am I the only one who thinks this is common sense? SIGH.
6. Why does all the music on the 'pop' radio stink so bad? Does anyone sing anymore? Or is music just electro-voice track over some techno beats? If that's music, can I do that? I would probably only be popular if I wore a meat dress or had purple hair. I'd also have to come up with some ridiculous name. I think I'm becoming more of a country music fan. Anyone else thing Taylor Swifts last album is not really a country album?
7. Why did I make so much spaghetti for dinner the other day? I've been eating it forever. Good thing I like spaghetti. :)
8. Is this post boring?
Hmm, so for better or for worse, those are some random thoughts from a moody pregnant woman.
Happy weekend to you all!

My First Gingerbread House
This last weekend, we went to a tacky sweater Christmas party at a friends house. We couldn't really find a tacky sweater (I thought Goodwill would hook me up for sure) but that's a different story.
Growing up, we didn't ever decorate gingerbread houses. I don't know why, we just didn't. So this was the first time I had put one together. Luckily there was a cardboard cutout to use as a template (or is that how it's always done?)
It was really fun. I enjoyed eating all the candy though. I realized that I should have let Curtis help me more, but I was kinda of a control freak about my decorations plus I was just caught up in the process. I apologized to him later for not letting him do more on the house. I guess it was a good lesson for me to learn before we have a kid. :)
So, what are you supposed to do with these after you make them? I'm not sure how this is supposed to work. Do you just look at them for awhile, then throw them away?
Also, what are some of your Christmas traditions? I recently heard of having a birthday cake and/or birthday party for Jesus and I think that's a really cool idea. We always decorated the tree as a family sometime after Thanksgiving and we always read the Christmas story from the bible on Christmas Eve.
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas! I'm looking forward to seeing my family, it should be a lot of fun.
Take Care!
