Wow, these 6 months has flown by.  I know I say that every month, but it's true.  It doesn't feel like we have a newborn anymore.  We have a full-grown baby (haha). Micah has changed so much in this one month, it's crazy. This year was Micah's first Christmas!!!  We were so excited to celebrate with family and have our little boy here with us!  We had so much fun.  Of course, Micah wasn't really sure what was going on or how to open a present but I think he liked his toys.  He wanted to chew on each one of them so I take that as a good sign. He also really enjoyed eating the bows though, not sure about that one.

I'm about a week late on this post but a lot has happened in Micah's 4th month of life.  We just went to the Dr. on Monday and Micah is now 13lbs and 15oz (29%) and he is 24.63" tall (37%) and his head size is in the 81 percentile.  He got a good report from the doctor and three more vaccines.  His poor little legs are still red. :( This month we went to Beaumont to the church my dad pastors

A few weekends ago we took Micah to Payton's first birthday party.  Her party was at the zoo and Micah was the cutest baby there . . . well in my opinion!    SEE!!! On Friday, we took our little dude to the Dr. for his two month check up.  He is a very healthy boy.  He now weighs 12lbs and 7.5oz.  He was born at 7lbs and 4oz.  He is in the 46% on weight.  He's 23.38 inches long (the 44%) and is in the 89% for head size (smart boy!)  I like our doctor.  She answered all of my silly new mom questions and was very helpful.  Then we had to get shots . . . dun

At 7 weeks old, I already have a ton of pictures of Micah.  We take a picture almost every day.  We take a picture on my cell phone (when it's working) and send it to Curtis every day.  At this point, most of the pictures are of Micah sleeping, but it's still so cute! Well. . . here I am, two weeks into motherhood.  I must say that it's been great.  I'm pretty tired but my perfect little boy makes it all worth it.  Here are a few updates. Micah went to the Dr. last week and has gained 4 oz. since birth and is doing great!  We go back to the Dr. this Friday for another check up. Brrrr. . . it's cold!  But I'm home now with my comfy sweatpants on, comfy shirt, warm sweatshirt, fuzzy socks, blanket and snuggly husband.  I'm set.  (And I'm sure I'm lookin oh so beautiful).  We're about to warm up some left over roast (Yummy!!) and settle in for some relaxation. I'm back with another baby bump update, you can see the first one here.  Since my last update, I've been to the doctor for a checkup, gotten sick with some sort of yucky cold and officially had to go shopping for clothes.  Here are a few more updates: Dr. Update:  I went to the doctor about a week ago and all is well.  I've gained a total of 4 pounds and the baby's heart rate is going strong.

My sister is getting married in February (wooo hoo!) so we recently threw her a 'Yellow and Gray Shabby Chic' bridal shower at my grandmothers house.  I'm not sure it really had a specific theme, but it turned out to be a great shower regardless.  My sister looked beautiful in her new purple dress.  My cousin Andria is a direct descendant of Martha Stewart (you know in terms of her creativeness)

So... my pregnancy has been going really smoothly, I feel so lucky.  I haven't really felt pregnant very many days, especially in terms of my bump.  Here are some updates on what's going on with me and baby. Guess what!   Curtis and I are going to have a baby!  We are so incredibly happy and blessed and excited.  Our baby is due June 26th, 2011, which means I'm 13 weeks today.  I'm only sad because we won't find out if the baby is a boy or girl until sometime in February.  I don't know how I can wait that long, I wish we could have found out the gender the day we found out we were having a baby.
