Blue Door Decor

It's been a long time coming but I have finally launched my Etsy store with a few items.  I have a few more wreaths I need to post but I decided to go ahead with a 'soft launch' of the items I'm ready to list.

Please go check it out and let me know what you think.  Feel free to pass this along to any friends or family who would be interested.  Stay tuned for a few more items!

Micah Goes to Galveston

My honey is taking a lot of vacation days lately and I'm loving it.  He's been taking a few Monday/Tuesdays off here and there and thus giving us long weekends together.  It's been so fun.  I'm glad he saved up his vacation and can hang out with me and Micah man.

We were coming up on my hubby's birthday so he took a Mon/Tues off and we decided to go to Galveston on Monday.  We just walked around, ate burgers, took in the nice weather, walked the strand, and played with our sweet little boy.  Then Tuesday we had a very nice lazy day around the house and went out to eat to celebrate Curtis' birthday.

Here are a few pics - we really could be anywhere though but I promise there is wind and waves and sand right outside of this pic.  Thank God for the wind or it would have been steamy!

 What's that?!!

Daddy, Mommy and Baby

We had to dress him in his most 'beach appropriate' attire
He doesn't look to happy about it

Q - T - PIE!!!

And then . . .

Enough MOM!!

Little Dude Got Style

A few weekends ago we took Micah to Payton's first birthday party.  Her party was at the zoo and Micah was the cutest baby there . . . well in my opinion!    SEE!!!

I don't want to count that as his first trip to the zoo since he went to the party and then fell asleep before we made it to the giraffes.  He was sleeping and it was hot so we didn't walk around the zoo to see any of the animals.  We'll take him back when he's older and can enjoy it more AND when it's cooler outside.

But Payton gave him some cool sunglasses for next time so he's all set.

Micah's 2 Month Check Up

On Friday, we took our little dude to the Dr. for his two month check up.  He is a very healthy boy.  He now weighs 12lbs and 7.5oz.  He was born at 7lbs and 4oz.  He is in the 46% on weight.  He's 23.38 inches long (the 44%) and is in the 89% for head size (smart boy!)  I like our doctor.  She answered all of my silly new mom questions and was very helpful.

Then we had to get shots . . . dun dun dunnnnnnnn.

This is Micah hanging out waiting for the nice doctor
to show up. . . Thinking La la la - cool light

This is Micah hiding from the doctor once he found out
she wasn't so nice and was going to give him shots. . . Thinking Maybe she won't find me

Unfortunately, he wasn't stealthy enough and the doctor found him (actually the nurse) and gave him his shots anyway.  It was so sad (mostly for mommy) and I had to come home and snuggle him because he I needed to be comforted.

Then we went home and all took a nap on the couch.

Notice the bugs bunny bandaids - my poor baby!

Mommy gave him a Batman sticker for being such a brave boy. Hahaha.

SAHM

So I'm a SAHM now - 10 points if you know that stands for Stay At Home Mom!

I turned in my resignation to my job this week.  This is so exciting!  I like working in marketing and I am thinking about how I'll continue marketing efforts while at home but I'm so excited to be able to stay home with Micah.  This is such a blessing.  I know it will definitely be an adjustment for us; but one Curtis and I both feel is best.

I've been doing this whole momma thing for only two months and I have so much respect for all the mommas out there who work, maintain a household, love a husband and care for a little one all in a day (plus all the other millions of things that get done).  I think it's possible but man are ya'll rock stars!

I'm so thankful to be able to spend my days with Micah, watching him grow and learn and teaching him all sorts of things.  We're going to give it about a year and see where we want to go from there.  We'll see how my pint sized boss evaluates me at that time.  ;)

WooHoo!

The Princess Ponies Sccooorrreeee!!!

My husbands family has a fantasy football league this year.  After week one I a) won my first game against Team Chance b) have no idea how to play this game and c) don't know what I'm supposed to do to ensure another win. (but don't tell the other guys this)

I decided that if I'm going to be in a fantasy football league then I need to make an impression on the guys so they'll remember who beat their butts in football.  That's why I named my team The Princess Ponies.  I love my team and our team color is purple of course!

I can imagine the smack talk that is sure to come when all the other teams get beat by The Princess Ponies!!!  How humiliating for those big strong boys.  Wuahahaha (evil laugh)

For now my players are Tony Romo, Reggie Wayne, Marques Colston, Adrian Peterson, and some other dudes.  I've only ever heard of Tony Romo.  At least I can kill two birds with one stone.  My hubby is a cowboys fan so we always watch the Cowboys games.  So now I can watch one game and also check out my fantasy football team as well.

I'll keep you posted on the pending success of The Princes Ponies - cause you know we're going to win!  Yeah Baby!!

Ten on Tuesday - Would You Rather

I've decided to participate in Ten on Tuesday this week.  This weeks questions were provided by Rachel and sponsored by Chelsea.  Enjoy!

Side Note - Today is my hubby's birthday so "Happy Birthday Babe.  I love you so much!  Mwuah!!! "

WOULD YOU RATHER:
1. eat chocolate covered grasshoppers or this freaky squid thing?

First of all - EWWW!  I would much rather eat chocolate covered grasshoppers than something that is moving.  That is disgusting!  At least I like chocolate and that might mask the taste.

2. never see another movie or never watch TV again?
I'd have to say never watch another movie.  We're not big movie buffs but we watch way too much TV.  Besides don't most movies usually end up on TV at some point?

3. be a superhero with a lame power or a supervillain with an awesome power?

Hmm - I'd have to be a superhero with a lame power.  Being evil is no bueno.

4. eat only salty snacks for the rest of your life, or only sweet snacks?
Sweet snacks FOR SURE.  Why do they even make salty snacks?!  I mean - come on!!

5. never read another book or never hear another song?
I'd have to say never read another book.  I like to read but I really love music.  I'm not musically talented but I love listening to others who are.  Music Rocks!!! (hahaha)

6. be a whale carcass remover or a sewer inspector?
Based on the pictures, I'd say whale carcass remover.  The picture showed the guys using some sort of crane which seems less dirty than inspecting sewers.

7. have no electricity or no running water?

Well being that I live in Texas, I'd say no running water because no electricity means no air conditioner.  At least if I'm hauling water into my house I can cool off in the AC after doing so.  :)

8. be a dog or a cat?
Definitely a cat.  They are way more independent and chill than dogs.  Imagine - you can just lay around all day, sleep, play if you want too, eat, be snuggled if you want too, and come and go as you please.  Sounds nice, don't you think?

9. always be hot or always be cold?
I hate these extremes.  I'm miserable when I'm hot and miserable when I'm cold.  I'd say always be cold b/c I AM ALWAYS cold and it's a good excuse to snuggle the hubby and the baby boy. :)

10. be forced to watch all 3 High School Musicals on an endless loop, or the Twilight movies?
Well . . . I've never seen Twilight.  So. . . I guess I'll say High School Musicals.  From my perspective it would be more fun to sing and dance all day rather than be worried about falling in love with a vampire and being bitten.  (or whatever that movie is about)
